Error trying to Install Expression Studio 4.

When installing Microsoft Expression Studio 4 on Windows XP Professional, double clicking on the setup application brought up the following error:

Your computer is scheduled to restart. Restart your computer and run Setup to continue installing this Expression program.

Restarting the computer didn’t help but some advice on a Microsoft Expression forum about version 3 did.

Using regedit I found the Flags value in the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\UpdateExeVolatile was set to 2. Changing this value to 0 instantly resolved the incident and Expression now installed correctly.
